Good Shepherd Sunday April 25th is the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.

Please join the Daily TV Mass Community as we offer a full week of Masses for prayers for Vocations.

This year Pope Francis has asked us to look to St. Joseph, our Blessed Virgin Mary’s spouse and father of Jesus for his example in fulfilling his vocation by listening to the Spirit’s guidance, offering his life in service and protection of his family, and his fidelity in living out his vocation for the rest of his life. One of the most requested petitions to our Prayer Intentions Book each month is for our community to pray for the return to the faith of our young people and for an increase in Vocations.

Before each Mass we will join together in the following prayer:

O God, Father of all Mercies, Provider of a bountiful Harvest, send Your Graces upon those You have called to gather the fruits of Your labor; preserve and strengthen them in their lifelong service of you.

Open the hearts of Your children that they may discern Your Holy Will;
inspire in them a love and desire to surrender themselves to serving others in the name of Your son, Jesus Christ.

Teach all Your faithful to follow their respective paths in life guided by Your Divine Word and Truth.

Through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, all the Angels, and Saints, humbly hear our prayers and grant Your Church’s needs, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Each day this week the homily or reflection will focus on a different vocation. We invite you to join us in prayer this week as we lead up to Good Shepherd Sunday and the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.
