Our purpose is clear...
Pope Francis said that the Mass is the very mystery at the centre of our salvation. The National Catholic Broadcasting Council has been connecting the Catholic faithful together through the mystery that is the Daily TV Mass since 1988.
With the assistance of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) and the leadership of the late Bishop John Sherlock, Michael McManus, our founding Executive Director, worked with a team of people to bring the Mass to TV each day reaching Catholics across Canada.
With the invention of the internet the reach of the Daily TV Mass is now worldwide and our commitment remains to build the community of the faithful by keeping them connected. The Daily TV Mass keeps tens of thousands of faithful Catholics connected with our faith and community.
Our Guiding Principles
“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him”…
“The thing the church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and to warm the hearts of the faithful; it needs nearness, proximity.”
Warming Faithful Hearts
Through the use modern media, the NCBC provides access to the Daily TV Mass and the National Catholic Mission, as a way for our community to stay near to the Church and our Catholic Faith.
