Pope Francis said praying for the dead “is a thanksgiving to the Lord for having given them (to us) and for their love and friendship.” He said that when we remember the dead, “we pray with Christian hope that they are with Him in paradise, in the expectation of being together again in that mystery of love that we don’t understand, but which we know is true because it is a promise that Jesus made.”
Each November the Daily TV Mass congregation comes together to remember the faithful departed of our community and through our collective prayers we seek to provide comfort to those who grieve.
As a member of the Daily TV Mass Community, we invite you to send us the names of those you would like to have included in our Book of Remembrance. You can click
HERE to add names.
At each Mass in November there will be a special intention for all those listed in this book. On November 4th the Daily TV Mass will be offered for the repose of these souls.
Our community prayer this month is for all those listed in the Daily TV Mass Book of Remembrance and for all the souls in purgatory, especially those who have no one to pray for them. We pray to the Lord.
Please pray with us our prayer of the month – you can listen to it HERE.
GOD’S PROMISE by Henri Nouwen
May you be held by the God of compassion
as you remember your loved ones today.
May God be with you in your sorrow,
and comfort you in your loss.
May your
God, your family and your friends,
give you strength and confidence.
May your spirit be lifted,
may your heart be filled with peace,
and may the light of God’s promise
fill you with joy and hope. Amen.
God Bless,
Deacon Mike Walsh
