As we step into the heart of summer, we pray that these warmer days bring you rest, renewal, and opportunities to encounter God’s presence in nature, in loved ones, and in stillness. Whether you are travelling or staying close to home, know that the Daily TV Mass continues to accompany you each day with the grace and peace of Christ.A Spirit-Filled Summer Though the liturgical season of Ordinary Time may seem quiet, it is anything but ordinary. It is during these green days that we grow — in faith, in love, and in discipleship. The Spirit, poured out at Pentecost, continues to animate our Church. Let us use these summer months to deepen our prayer, rediscover the beauty of God’s creation, and open our hearts anew to the Holy Spirit. Saint of the Month: Saint Ignatius of Loyola (Feast Day: July 31) This month, we honour Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits and a spiritual master of discernment. A former soldier, Ignatius experienced a dramatic conversion after a cannonball shattered his leg — and his worldly ambitions. From his convalescence came The Spiritual Exercises, a way of prayer that continues to change lives today. Let us follow Saint Ignatius in praying, “Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will…” May we, like him, seek to find God in all things. |
