Lent 2025

St. Pope John Paul II said, “Lent stimulates us to let the Word of God penetrate our life and, in this way, to know the fundamental truth: who we are, where we come from, where we must go, what path we must take in life.”

Lent is a sacred 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, preparing us for Easter and drawing us closer to God. It mirrors Jesus’ time in the desert and invites us to set aside distractions, reflect on His sacrifice, and embrace the hope of the Resurrection.

To guide us, the Daily TV Mass 40 Days of Lent Online Retreat features insightful reflections from our retreat leaders:

  • Cardinal Thomas Collins explores The Passion of Christ according to John.
  • Fr. Michael Coutts reflects on The Seven Last Words of Christ.
  • Monsignor Robert Nusca unveils The Faces of Christ in Revelation.
  • Deacon Robert Kinghorn shares Stories from the Church on the Street.
  • Fr. Richard Leonard helps us find God in suffering.
  • The late Fr. Pat Fitzpatrick leads The Stations of the Cros
  • Fr. Henk Van Meijel introduces the Igatian Examen.
  • Fr. Vijai Amirtharaj reflects on The Passion on Good Friday.
