As the leaves fall and the year draws closer to its end, November invites us to pause, remember, and pray. In the Catholic tradition, this is the Month of the Holy Souls, a sacred time to celebrate the saints in heaven and to pray for our beloved faithful departed. Through the gift of our Daily TV Mass, we remain united in prayer across Canada and beyond — a community of faith bound together by love, remembrance, and hope in eternal life All Saints’ Day – November 1 We begin this holy month with All Saints’ Day, a joyful celebration of all those who now live in the glory of God. These men and women — known and unknown — show us that holiness is possible in every walk of life. Let us give thanks for their example and ask for their intercession as we strive to follow Christ faithfully in our own lives. “Let us rejoice in the Lord and celebrate with all the saints!” All Souls’ Day – November 2 On All Souls’ Day, we lovingly remember all who have died and especially those who have touched our lives. Throughout the month of November, the Daily TV Mass will be offered for the repose of the souls of all the faithful departed. A Month to Remember and Give Thanks This month reminds us of the Communion of Saints — that beautiful mystery of our unity with all who have gone before us in faith. As we pray for the departed, we also give thanks for the saints and for one another, who continue to live and grow in God’s grace together. Even if you watch the Daily TV Mass alone, remember you are never praying alone. Your intentions, your faith, and your prayers join those of thousands in our Daily TV Mass community who are watching and praying with you. May our prayers this month bring comfort to grieving hearts, peace to the departed, and renewed hope to us all.
